Designscapes, an H2020 project which aims to exploit the generative potential of urban environments in the highest possible number of European Cities, is hosting its Second International Policy Forum next week. On Monday Oct. 12th from 9:30am to 12:30pm CET, Designscapes will be holding multiple panels, in virtual format, on topics such as “placing design policy on urban agenda” and “raising the aims & meeting the current challenges in Europe.”

Designscapes aim has been to encourage the uptake and further enhancement and upscaling of Design enabled Innovations by existing enterprises, start-up companies, public authorities and agencies, and other urban stakeholders. Over the last 3 years, the Designscapes project has funded more than 75 pilot projects with grants ranging from 5,000€ to 25,000€ per open call round. The three open calls focused on finding innovative solutions to help face challenges in cities around Europe.

The MESOC project’s mission to measure the societal value and impacts of culture and cultural policies and practices is specifically related to three areas of the new European Agenda for Culture, including urban and territorial renovation. The projects supported by Designscapes aim to bring new ideas and energy to urban environments, mobility and the goal of improving the quality of life in EU Cities.

How to get involved

Urban stakeholders and anyone interested in European policy-making are encouraged to attend.
