Art project

Art & Well-being project is co-funded by Creative Europe Programme the European Union and implemented by the Cluj Cultural Centre, (Romania, lead partner), BOZAR – Center for Fine Arts Brussels (Belgium), UGM | Maribor Art Gallery (Slovenia) and Bruno Kessler Foundation (Italy).

It explores the impact of art and cultural participation on physical, emotional and mental health, supports new artistic approaches, and develops collaborative platforms between actors from different disciplines to enhance individual and community well-being. Project activities take place between October 2019 and June 2021 and include artistic productions that explore the theme of health and well-being; creation of experimental spaces for relaxation and well-being in public spaces and institutions; cultural prescriptions pilot actions; an international forum and a series of workshops exploring the relationship between art and well-being.

A call for art projects was running until 19th of April, inviting artist from Europe to propose artworks – installations, performances, interventions in the public space, and others – that explore aspects and themes related to health and well-being. An international expert jury will select up to 5 individual installations/artworks and 3 projects for artistic residences.
